Gene Collier has written sports, politics, and media criticism in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia for more than 30 years and has twice been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize, losing spectacularly both times. He has a journalism degree from Penn State. Gene has been a popular guest on area radio stations including the WDVE Radio's Morning Show, delivering his comical views on Pittsburgh and its sports teams Gene's comedy lampoons family life, media culture, music, sports, and politics. Sean Collier was described as a "budding media personality" by the Pittsburgh City Paper, and no one — least all of him — seems to know what that means. What is verifiable about Sean is a varied list of roles around town. He's the movie critic for the WDVE Morning Show. He's the associate editor of Pittsburgh Magazine. He's a stand-up comic, having made appearances at the Pittsburgh Improv, Lawrenceville's Brillobox and anywhere else that invites him. He's appeared in storytelling shows, sketch comedy, Shakespearean tragedies, panel discussions, radio drop-ins, and more. A Pittsburgh native and current Edgewood resident, Sean has degrees in English and Theater Arts from Penn State, and is a 2002 alum of the sadly defunct Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts.
